The Dallas Electric Club will usher in the New Year with a presentation about one of the hottest topics in our industry – distributed generation. Taylor Woodruff of Oncor will speak at our January 22nd meeting. Taylor represents Oncor on the ERCOT Distributed Resource Energy and Ancillaries Market Task Force (DREAMTF). Formed this past summer, the DREAM Task Force has the mission of providing a forum to develop market rules and framework related to distributed energy resources allowing DERs an opportunity to more fully participate in the ERCOT Wholesale Market.

- Microgrids in Texas
- Regulatory history of distributed generation in Texas
- The work of the DREAM Task Force
Taylor Woodruff is a Senior Project Manager in the Market Relations group for Oncor Electric Delivery, a regulated electric transmission and distribution service provider that serves 10 million customers across Texas. Using cutting edge technology, Oncor works to safely maintain reliable electric delivery service with the largest distribution and transmission system in Texas; made up of approximately 119,000 miles of lines and more than 3 million meters across the state. Taylor currently represents Oncor on matters in the ERCOT stakeholder forums and manages initiatives with a market-wide impact, including distributed generation, advanced metering, and demand response. He began working with Oncor in 2009 and has had roles in various operational, engineering, and regulatory groups. Taylor is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington, with a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
