May 13, 2016: Steven Bullitt, Expert on Cyber Crimes and Cyber Security

Our May speaker will be Steven Bullitt, Cyber Security Expert with Solutionary, an NTT Group Security Company – formerly Assistance Special Agent in Charge, North Texas Electronic Crimes Task Force (N-TEC), United States Secret Service.
Steven will talk to the DEC about cyber-crime in general, including the recent attack on Ukraine’s power grid. He will present some cases he has covered in his previous role at the US Secret Service showing how the attackers operate and providing real world examples.
Steven is now Vice President, Cyber Forensics and Investigations at Solutionary. He brings a unique government perspective to the Solutionary executive management and threat intelligence incident response teams, serving as the vice president of cyber forensics and investigations. Bullitt began his career as a special agent with the United States Secret Service in July 1995 and was selected as the supervisor of the Dallas Field Office North Texas Electronic Crimes Task Force in January of 2010. In his most recent government role, Bullitt oversaw all United States Secret Service cyber and criminal investigations throughout northern Texas. At Solutionary, Bullitt will be responsible for leading client-facing threat responses, forensic initiatives and driving expert public commentary on the state of cybercriminal affairs.
Bullitt earned his master’s degree in forensic science computer fraud investigation from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
